Simplify 3d for very small models

I knew I would end up listing the reasons it sucks. But if you are methodical and print some cubes/letters/samples with different profiles you can calibrate it for your needs in just one / two prints.Īlso since version 3.0 there are many tutorials from s3d to get the basics. Ofc the generic profile for um2/umo needs tunning (specially the speed).

And my favorite: The paths that create to print are really focus on making the print 'look good'. The user interface isn't a 'mess' (old cura was great, new cura it's a mess). The slicer viewer it's really great planned. When you control it you can make surfaces and little texts tto look sharp. You can easily set different extruder sizes for the same object (making fake sizes) very fast. Group control of objects, and very easy scale/mirror/auto flat on bed (press a triangle of the object and it rotates it auto to lie down on the bed). Cura someday will be better (or not) but s3d it's atm the best slicer.

After you get use to be able to control almost anything, it's just way better.
